Episode XIII
Episode 13; Red, White, and New. Nana’s bone marrow transplant is complete. She is in a "clean room" apartment near the hospital. The actual time it took for the bone marrow to engraft is condensed in this episode. For the family, it was a long wait, even if it was only a few days!
The progenitor cells went to work quickly. The endolphins© rejoiced and Auntie-Body,© like the rest of us, was surprised at the rapid rise in the blood "count." The engraftment is complete; the cancer is vanquished; the patient is creating her own blood cells and platelets. The miracle has occurred!
