Saving history...
When six 4x5 negatives taken at the September 1938 signing
of the Berlin Treaty were virtually destroyed by a broken steam
pipe, the owner was understandably distraught. Priceless images of Hitler,
Chamberlain, Deladier, and Mussolini were deemed worthless by
"experts" who told the owner to throw
them away.
Not satisfied with that answer, the owner contacted Grand
Memories and we got to work, restoring all six images to near-new
quality. The example on the left shows the original negative,
a starting point for the repair, and the final product.
